Canon EOS 7D PL Mount--Hand HeldCanon EOS 7D PL Mount--Studio

Canon EOS 7D-PL Mount

Our new specially modified Canon EOS 7D camera is now PL mounted which will accommodate nearly all PL mounted cine lenses that are the industry standard in 35mm film production.  The advantages to using these fine lenses from manufacturers such as Angenieux, Cooke and Zeiss are that they are robust, have the highest level of optical quality, their focus marks are easy to read, and you can still use all your film style accessories on them such as motors, follow focuses, and matte boxes.  Also, since the Canon 7D’s CMOS sensor size closely resembles that of 35mm motion picture film’s image area, you can expect, for example, that the angle of view and depth of field characteristics of a 24-290mm Angenieux zoom lens will look the same on this camera as on a film camera.
Another feature that makes this camera so attractive to filmmakers is that all its exposure settings can be controlled manually and it can record in more than just one frame rate mode.  In Full HD (1920 x 1080) you can record 30p (29.97), 24p (23.976) and 25p, in HD (1280 x 720) you can record 60p (59.94) and 50p and in SD (640 x 480) 60p (59.94) and 50p.
Other features of the Canon 7D-PL include a 3” 920,000 dot LCD monitor, ISO sensitivity range of 100 – 6400 (expandable to 12800) and small, 2 lb. body offering the ultimate in portability.  In addition, its camera body chassis is built of lightweight and rigid magnesium and is water and dust resistant which make this camera production proof and ready for rugged handling. If you need a versatile, small, and robust HD camera then our new Canon EOS 7D-PL may be what you are looking for.

Accessories:

Z finderZacuto Z finder: The Z finder is an optical viewfinder, which, when mounted to the Canon 5D, ensures that the camera’s LCD is shielded from any stray, bright light on set. It also offers 3X focus magnification to help the user make sure that his shots are in focus and aids very well in reviewing shot material.

Z RigZacuto DSLR Tactical Shooter Hand Held Rig:This rig is the perfect companion to the Canon 5D when shooting hand held video. Its light weight and three points of contact to the user’s body allow for many hours of comfortable, fatigue free recording.

Z RigCanon Timer Remote Controller TC-80N3: This remote control unit from Canon is a must for any shooter who needs to shoot time lapse photography with your Canon EOS 7D or 5D Mark II.  In interval timer mode you can set the time between each exposure anywhere between 1 second and 100 hours.  Additional features include exposure timer, which holds open the shutter between 1 second and 100 hours, exposure count which limits the amount of exposures between 1 and 99, and self timer in which you can program the camera when to fire a shot.  The unit also serves as a simple remote switch for taking stills without touching the camera. Finally, it features a very handy backlit display for nighttime shooting.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II

Canon EOS 5D Mark II

Just when you thought the tools for shooting motion picture images couldn’t get any more diverse Canon has introduced the EOS 5D Mark II. This is Canon’s first digital EOS camera to offer recording of Full HD video. It can shoot clips up to 12 minutes long at 30fps in full 1080p resolution (based on using a 4GB card) in addition to performing as a stellar still camera - all using the full line of widely available Canon EF lenses on the market.
One much coveted feature of the camera is its manual exposure control while shooting video. When you are in Manual Mode during video recording, you can control the aperture, sensitivity from ISO 100-6400 (expandable to 12800), and shutter speed from 1/30 - 1/4,000 second. This new feature transforms the EOS 5D Mark II into the first full frame 24mm x 36mm DSLR with manual exposure video control, creating an amazing tool for the video and motion picture industries alike.
Finally, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II incorporates a high-fidelity (920,000 dot) 3" LCD screen and includes a 'Live View' feature that permits the user to frame their shots on the LCD display. Other framing functions that are not possible with a traditional SLR viewfinder include the ability to zoom in and navigate the preview image to ensure proper focus, and a grid overlay to assist in proper composition.

Panasonic AG-HVX200

Panasonic AG-HVX200

The Panasonic AG-HVX200 is a handheld DVCPRO HD P2 camera-recorder designed to meet emerging needs in HD content production. It debuted as Panasonic's first HD video product to use P2, the cutting-edge solid state memory recording device that has revolutionized the entire production paradigm.
The AG-HVX200 records HD, either 1080i or 720p video acquired by a new optical system and high-performance digital signal processor onto a P2 card using the broadcasting DVCPRO HD codec. This system achieves a level of image quality that conventional handheld HD cameras simply cannot match, while also supporting HD/SD multi-format and multi-codec recording capabilities.
Variable frame rate recording is just one of the features that makes the AG-HVX200 unique in its class. Using technologies that make the Panasonic VariCam camera-recorder a favorite in movie production, this powerful function allows the overcranking and undercranking techniques used with film cameras to create fast-motion and slow-motion effects. The P2 card offers superior reliability, immediate playback and outstanding cost-performance. It allows direct connection to nonlinear editing systems and streamlines the production work flow, by providing to the editing system data files ready to be edited, rather than a video tape which would require the task of digitizing.
On top of all its advanced features and technologies, the AG-HVX200 inherits the refined design and easy operation that distinguishes Panasonic's high-value DVX100 DV camera series. In the AG-HVX200, video professionals of all kinds will find a powerful tool for giving form to their creative visions.

Phantom HD GOLD (by Vision Research)

The Phantom HD GOLD is a unique PL mounted high speed camera that can deliver up to the maximum frame rates of 1000 fps (in 1920 x 1080), 1539 fps (in 1280 x 720) or 540 fps (in 2048 x 2048) without the need for rendering, which means that you can see the results of each shot immediately.  It boasts an excellent dynamic range and has a rating of ISO 600.  In addition, its imager adds in creating the much desired 35mm depth-of-field look which can be used to isolate subjects from the foreground and background.
The camera records to an internal RAM memory of 16GB that can then be downloaded to a laptop computer. Phantom CineMags provide hot-swappable, solid-state recording in 256 and 512 GB models. Phantom Flex (by Vision Research)

The Phantom Flex offers an unprecedented degree of flexibility in all areas of high-speed image capture, and goes beyond HD to support 4-megapixel imaging, when the highest resolution is required. Depending on the shooting mode and resolution, the Flex is capable of shooting from 5 fps to over 10,750 fps.
The Phantom Flex offers two user-selectable shooting modes, each adapted to a particular shooting environment. In Standard Mode, the Phantom Flex is just like any other Phantom digital high-speed camera. Shoot at resolutions up to 2560x1600 pixels at anywhere from 10 frames-per-second up to 1,455 frames-per-second (fps). Maximum speed increases as the resolution decreases – up to 2,570 fps at 1920x1080, 5,350 fps at 1280x720, and 10,750 fps at 640x480.
In Phantom HQ Mode, Vision Research's proprietary image enhancement technology results in electronic image stability unprecedented in digital high-speed cameras: stable blacks, low noise, higher dynamic range, and repeatable shots over the full range of supported resolutions, frame rates and temperatures without the need for pre-shot black references. Maximum frame rates in HQ mode are about half those in Standard mode, which means that in HQ Mode Flex captures images at speeds up to 1,275 fps at 1920x1080 or 2,640 fps at 1280x720.
The Phantom Flex supports multiple workflows: a raw digital workflow, a video workflow, or combination of both for maximum control and flexibility.
With a video workflow, the Flex offers a video signal on the dual-link HD-SDI ports independent of the camera resolution. Set the resolution to 2560x1440 (16:9), and the camera will automatically scale the oversampled image when rendering the video signal. This technique increases the dynamic range and decreases noise in the video signal.
