Rental Policy

Schumacher Camera rents equipment on a daily or a long term basis. Standard pickup time is after 3 p.m. prior to the first shoot day, and due back by 10 a.m. on the scheduled return date. Extensions beyond the scheduled rental term will be billed as additional days. Unless prearranged, equipment returned early will be billed for the scheduled rental term. A premium will be added to all non-package rentals. (Certain specialty items such as the CineMagic Int'l Photo-Sonics 4ER+ will be charged as used.)

Schumacher Camera takes pride in offering the best maintained custom camera packages available. In the interest of the user as well as Schumacher Camera, we strongly urge our clients to inspect and prep the equipment prior to rental. We reserve the right to insist the that rented equipment be used by qualified camera assistants.

Basic Rental Policy

Equipment to be leased may be picked up after 3:00pm on the last working day prior to the beginning of the rental period. The equipment must be returned by 10:00am on the day following the termination of the rental period. A full day’s rental will be charged for equipment returned after 10:00am or picked up before 3:00pm.
Cancellation of the lease by the Lessee may result in service charges as follows:
Firmed orders which are released from 24 hours up to 4 hours prior to the rental will result in a 50% charge of the total rental rate.
Firmed orders which are released less than 4 hours prior to the rental will result in a 100% charge of the total rental rate.
Cancellation made after the beginning of the rental period will result in a 100% charge of the total rental rate.
An early return of specific items may not reduce the rental total unless the early return was arranged with Schumacher Camera in advance.
For established Open Accounts the rental payment terms are 30 days net from the date of the invoice. A late fee will be added to the rental charges after 30 days at the rate of 1.5% per month of the amount of rental charges due.
The lessee must provide all risk insurance coverage for the equipment which is to be leased from lessor. The coverage must meet all the requirements as stated in the “Insurance Requirements”. (Adobe Acrobat document)

Rental contracts will need to be signed by a qualified employee as representative of the production company. Ship outs or messenger pick ups will meet the same requirements. A copy of the completed rental contract will be faxed to the appropriate representative for signature prior to pick up or ship out.
